The Johnny Cash Museum Awarded with Highest Honor from Tennessee Association of Museums

At the Tennessee Association of Museums Conference, Nashville’s newest attraction The Johnny Cash Museum took home the top honor of the 2014 Award of Excellence.  Executive Director Sydney Robinson and founder Bill Miller were recognized for their “superlative achievement for the permanent exhibition.”
"It's a thrill and an honor to receive this recognition from such an esteemed organization," says founder Bill Miller.  "Being recognized in this way by our peers is very humbling."
Miller and Robinson received the honor in a ceremony held at the historic General Morgan Inn in Greenville, TN. As they approach the one year anniversary for the museum, The Johnny Cash Museum was proud to recently present a sold out Johnny Cash Birthday Celebration that featured performances from three generations of the Cash family. While, it wasn’t the first birthday celebration planned and coordinated by Bill Miller and his family, it marked the first time the event had been held in Music City. One truly never knows who you will see at the attraction as celebrities like Former VP and Nobel Prize winner Al Gore, Rosanne Cash, Carlene Carter, Grammy and country music legend Lynn Anderson, ABC Nashville’s Chris Carmack, The Mavericks, The Oak Ridge Boys, American Pickers’ Mike Wolfe, Ashton Shepherd,  Kristen Kelly, Melanie Safka and many others have been spotted at the museum.
