June 29, 2020 update: 

Beginning Monday, June 29, Pursuant to Order 8 from the Chief Medical Director of Health for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, guests are now required to wear a cloth face covering or mask while in a Metro Nashville/Davidson County business/facility. This will help protect both employees and guests.

July 3, 2020 update:

Our museum is currently open, operating at 50% capacity, following Phase Two of Metro Nashville Government's "Roadmap to Reopening Nashville." We are employing all best practices as required by Metro Nashville Government to keep our guests and staff healthy and safe. We thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time and hope to see you soon!

Here are some of the policies and procedures we are following to keep our staff and guests safe:

  • Closely monitoring advice from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Nashville mayor’s office

  • Educating our employees on preventative measures given by the CDC

  • Operating the museum at 50% capacity to help social distance

  • Screening employees daily for illness

  • Taking employee temperatures daily

  • Taking temperatures of vendors before allowing entrance into our business

  • Requiring all employees to wear a face mask at all times while working

  • Asking anyone who is ill to please stay home

  • Placing markers on the floor every 6ft to help with social distancing

  • Cleaning all surfaces after every use

  • Sanitizing all tables, chairs and any other surfaces touched by customers 

  • Providing additional resources to guests and employees including extra soap and paper towels in the restrooms, as well as hand sanitizer placed throughout the building

  • Implementing increased sanitation and hand-washing procedures for all employees
